This is the Yin Yang symbol. The Black part represents the bad and the white represents the good. in the image is shows that there is always a little good in the bad and a little bad in the good One cannot exist without the other.

In this quotes the shadow cannot exist without the Light Its exactly what "Yin Yang" represents There is always a little bad in the good and there is always a little good in the bad One cannot exist without the other.
